Ok first of all lets skip past the dirty responses to what I can do with my hands.
I have night school and I am always falling asleep. Yes I know i Ineed more sleep but trust me I take every second I can get. I exercise and eat healthy, I just get bored and want to go to sleep. I was wondering if there was anything I can do in class that won't be a distration and I can hopefully look like I am paying attention.

work on pen flip tricks. eventually when you get used to them, they become something to do while listening in class.

HONESTLY.... MAKE some time for yourself... take the time, if necessary, and get some good sleep. I've been in your shoes, and regardless of what you do with your hands, ultimately, your brain is going to take charge of things and doze. Why take school at all, if you're not going to get the most out of it?

Meanwhile, the best advice I can give you is to take a couple of ice cold sodas to class and slowly sip those while you take notes. It's not your hands that need to be busy for staying awake, it's your head.

Eat a lighter dinner before class. Your body will shut down and go into digestion mode if you eat too much or foods that are too heavy. Stay away from milk or turkey meat (tryptophan).

Or, exercise right before class. This will get your energy levels up.

Or, drink more water (you may not be getting enough causing you to have slight dehydration which makes you lethargic...) -- bring a botle of water to class.

draw a picture on your hand and if you are with people you can look at them and talk to them and say you didnt understand the last thing you said and needed to look at their notes. Ask for help by a friend and while pretending to look interested talk about something else.

Pay attention. Take notes. That is what most students do.

take lots of notes, write down everything that's being said. not only will it keep you awake it will increase your chances of remebering it all massively.
