A common misconception is that Jehovah's Witnesses go from door-to-door because they feel it is their duty to get a householder to "convert". In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses would go from door-to-door even if there were no hope that anyone would change their religion, or even if no one would listen to them!
That is because Jesus Christ specifically assigned the house-to-house ministry to the Christian congregation, with no regard for specific results.
(Luke 10:1,2) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.
Jehovah's Witnesses are trained to direct attention to the bible, and move on when their message is unwanted. Since each congregation in the United States tries to call at every home in its territory at least twice each year, there is strong motivation for them to move on where little interest is shown. Also, the Scriptures help the Witnesses to expect little interest from most:
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching ...and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

What it comes down to is there are good and not so good people in all religions. But for the most part people ridicule Jehovahs Witnesses for their beliefs that follow strictly what is taught in the bible. We go door to door which is commanded in the bible, we abstain from blood another thing that can be found in the bible, don't celebrate holidays with orgins and customs celebrating false gods. Another thing taught against in the bible.
The thing is people want to do what they want and follow only the apsects of a religion that suit there lifestyle, they may know something is questionable like Christmas which any religious scholar will agree is not Jesus birthday and most of the customs come from pagan orgins of celebrating other gods and pagan customs. But everyone else does it so who wants to give up a good time and be odd even though they know its may not be right.
Its not how we want to live but how god wants us to live is what's
important to JW's. And thats why alot of people don't like JW's.

Just because someone is religious, doesn't make them an ********.
I'm an atheist and I've dated a Muslim, a number of Christian girls, a Jehova's Witness, a Buddhist, etc. They were all nice people, and in most cases we got along just fine. I've met other religious people who were pushy and rude to people. Its not the god that makes the ********.
I, personally don't agree with religious beliefs, although I like people who actually use their religion to do something positive rather than to just bash down those deemed as nonbelievers or otherwise imperfect by their standards. When people treat others respectfully, their beliefs shouldn't matter.

Buddhists. They are Athiest. And keep to themselves, Not trying to convert anyone !!!
Buddhists are very Intelligent and demonstrate Loving-kindness, Much Patience, and are very Peaceful.
And through Mindfulness Meditation they see things in life (through true discernment) as they really are. And Buddhists are Not critical, Nor are they Judgemental.
Buddhists are not Self-Righteous;but they are the most Humble people I have ever encountered.
Your Question was Most Excellent !!
THANK YOU !!!

I'll go for Buddhists. I have never heard of a Buddhist blowing himself up in a shopping market full of women and kids.
Muslims have made a bad name for themselves with all the bombings and slaughtering of each other.
Jehovahs, I've known good and bad. Same for Christians.
So it comes down to Buddhists. They mind their own business. They're very peaceful. They don't go around knocking on doors trying to sell their beliefs.

That's a nice thing for you to say. Thanks.
There are very kind individuals in every organization, just as there are some not-so-nice ones. I'm glad you met a good one. As a group, we do our best.

It's a great question...
I admire the passion of false: teachers, preachers and religions. I would admire them more if they would see the truth.
The truth will set you free!
