Take out the turkey baster, soak up some of the juice in the pan. Let it go all over the turkey. Not necessarily under the skin, just baste it a couple of times right on top. It's too easy - don't worry too much about it. Your turkey will come out faboulous :)

I don't know how to "bast" a turkey but I do know how to baste it:

with a baster (it's like a huge plastic dropper) or brush you just take the juices from the bottom of the roaster or pan and keep pouring it or brushing it onto the turkey every 1/2 hour or so.

Also it is good to rub a bar of softened butter all over your turkey before you put it in the oven.

Don't baste it. It doesn't do any good, and opening the oven lowers the cooking temperature which is a bad thing. Don't worry about basting. Use a nice turkey size cooking bag. They're made by Reynolds and most grocery stores have them in the aisle with aluminum foil and plastic bags.

i once basted 3 turkeys at a time!

my friends all called me a king bastard!
