They're BOTH important. They are both basic liberties.

Without Freedom of Speech, is there any real freedom of religion?
In other words, if you're not allowed to tell others what you believe, what meaning does 'Freedom of Religion' have?
On the other hand, if you have Freedom of Speech, but are not allowed Freedom of Belief, then you are talking about a somewhat restricted freedom of speech, since that freedom would only allow you to express whatever belief system was sanctioned by the prevailing authorities or majority.
So with that in mind it seems that they go nearly hand in hand. After all freedom of speech is really freedom of thought along with the freedom to express that thought. If you cut off freedom of thought to begin with, what is it that you are free to express?
Good question.

Since all of our so called inalienable rights have been bastardized until they are essentially nothing more than words on a page, I would say freedom of religion. If I can believe what I want and can only affirm it to those in my family I still have the right to believe. If I have free speech it only is really free until I violate your right to disagree through the same right of free speech.

You cant have freedom of religion without freedom of speech... yet what stable is freedom of speech without freedom of religion so which you would be able to tell others approximately it? i assume one without the different could be extraordinarily ineffective. In maximum places the place there is not any freedom of speech there is likewise no freedom of religion. when you consider that i haven't executed the analyze I cant say that for specific yet its a secure assumption.

Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion would not be possible without it. It also plays a much more vital role in society. It shines light on corruption.

They're both in the First Amendment and there's no reason why one should be deemed more important than the other.
Freedom of speech, however, is not allowed on this board, in my opinion.

Considering that religion is the worst kind of slavery, there can hardly be any "Freedom" associated with it.

They're both required. What's more important in a car - the engine or the steering wheel?
