This may be a little long, but looking for some opinions...

Person "A" calls person "B" and asks if "B" can take off early from work to come help "A" with a problem that "B" is a noted expert in. "B" works to get off 1.5 hrs early to come help "A" with problem, but while on the way to help "A", "A" calls "B" and asks where "B" is. "B" says "on my way over to help you." "A" replies, "oh, never mind, someone else helped me figure it out." "B" is rightly a little flustered that they took the time and effort to come help and "A" just found someone else to fix the problem. Is "B" justified in being upset?

Second part. "B" having already taken the time off is still going to take the time off and "A" ask "B" to come on over anyhow. "B" agrees to come over, but on the way, "B" gets called out for a fire. "B" would have missed this call had "B" still been at work, but "B" calls "A" and tells "A" they have been toned out for a fire. Should "A" be mad at "B" for going to fire call?

1- Yes, B can be upset. it was rude and disrespectful of A
2- A is being a jerk, especially if by fire you mean FIRE, a potentially life threatening situation that B went to help with.
Lesson: B should not be willing to do anything for A in future.

no that's so stupid, if person A's problem was really so important that person B had to get out of work causing them they're job, then the least they could do is be greatful that they have a freind who would do that for them, and it's selfish to cost B they're job if th problem could have been solved by somebody else. In no way shoudl A be mad at B. B was being a good friend, and when duty calls after the friend had been selfish, then B shoudl def take the call.

situation 1: B should be angry, A should not have gone and got another person to fix the problem.

situation 2: A should not be mad at B for going out for a fire call. (is B like a firefighter?) because thats his job, and if there's a fire, someone can die, no life is worth just a friend's problem

I like the fact that you did not try to sway the answer one way or the other by applying names to the people or gender.

B sounds like a good friend and A sounds very selfish and immature. If B is the stand up person portrayed here, then person B will rise above all this and it will not be a problem. Let A be mad if A wants to be mad.

Person "B" is justified in being a little annoyed that Person "A" made them take off from work. Person "A" should not get mad that now Person "B" got called to do something else when Person "A" no longer has a problem for Person "B" to fix.

B should know that A is selfish and disrespectful and should think twice before helping A again. Also, B should confront A with the way he/she feels and tell them they won't be so readily available in the future.
B gets called to a fire that he/she normally would have missed, being at their regular job, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise?

Neither one is necessarily greedy. Person B sounds like a successful business person who may or may not be greedy. Person A is a lazy bum. There are not that many Person As as the media and some politicians want you to think. People on welfare usually do not want to be there. It is a lot easier to just work than to try to make a life on the welfare system.

B can be mad at A... sure, A could be a little mad at B... but A needs to realize thatt B couldnt come because of something more imortant, and work related(?) and needs to deal with it, A already messed u a little by asking to take off work and after B did found someone else... little confusing.... just call it even damn it. dont be mad at each other... espeacially for something that stupid....

Stereotypically, A is a woman while B is a man.

B is justified for being upset for the first incident, but B should forget it knowing that A is a woman.

A is justified for being upset for the second incident, but A should forget it, and probably will easily.
