If you had to tell an adult how God speaks to you, in order that you might help them overcome a problem, how would you explain this to them, so that they would be inspired and have hope where they didn’t before?

It is a good idea to have your email option turned on and confirmed, just in case it is needed.

David that is an awesome question...

God speaks into my heart, sometimes it's a quiet whisper. He reveals Himself to me in His Word...He shows me His glory in all of His creation. The beauty of a sunrise or sunset, the way the ocean waves roll in...the mountains and their high peaks, snow as it gently falls.

He speaks to me in many, many different ways. I must quiet myself in order to hear Him...but it is so worth it.

I love it when we (He and I) talk.

God's speaking is so rarely heard these days because of all the negative and repetitive thoughts (mind clutter) blocking our awareness of it. It's hard to hear a broadcast through static. I believe God speaks in many ways, including so-called coincidences or synchronicities. Sometimes when I have a problem I'm struggling with, I visualize myself without the problem. The best time to do this, for me is just before I fall asleep, while in that 'almost conscious' state. Our minds aren't as caught up in the 'everyday' then. (Some people would consider this a form of prayer or meditation.) Not to imply insanity, but the farther away we are from our minds, the closer we are to God. Do this until you fall asleep completely. It's even possible to wake up the next day with a solution. It's happened to many people, including myself. I think the main thing to remember when trying to get someone to feel inspired or empowered is to remind them that we all have the capacity to create and solve our own problems. After all, we are all created in God's own image and likeness, which makes us pretty special. Knowing we're perfect just as we are and unconditionally loved by God is pretty powerful as well.

God communicates in a multitude of ways:

1) He speaks--sometimes audibly sometimes in that small still voice you sorta feel in your gut

2) He uses others to tell us what He would have us to know

3) Situations--He sets things up where we can do only one thing

4) And His word the bible.

I have experienced all of these but the audible voice of God.

I have heard Him many times. Never the audible voice, but no doubt it was God. Just one quick example. About ten years ago I was driving down the road. There was a fairly large cardboard box in the middle of the road. Now I like a little sport and I admit I have lead in my shoes, so I thought," Gonna bust that box wide open." I distinctly heard a voice say ,"NO!" so I swerved to miss it. I looked in my rear view mirror and watched a toddler crawl out of the box. I locked my car up and pulled over. Walked him into the fenced yard he came from, locked the gate. I was trembling. Couldn't thank God enough.

I would tell them to listen closely to the words that people bring to them in their time of need. God speaks often to us through others. Not to mention that he speaks to us in many other ways too. There is hope for those who ask for help when in need. It may not come to them when they want it but God will come to them on His time which is always the right on time.

Witness to them something from ur own experience of when God was there for u.

If you are Christian, then the Bible should be your reference. Although the Lord God may actually speak to anyone today in dreams, visions and etc., whatever you hear (or allege to have heard) would not contradict his original word - the Bible. The Almighty, Supreme One, is truly a man of order, and nature all around us attest to this fact.

God doesn't speak directly to our bodies: He speaks to our souls, which is hard for us to comprehend. He speaks through His Word(the Bible), nature, other people, dreams, even through your own emotions. There is no limit to how He communicates with you, but you have to learn to pay attention.
