It depends on what country/state you're in. I live in Pennsylvania, and can renew my vehicle registrations online - have done so for several years now. You can renew vehicle registrations up to 6 months in advance here in PA.

Probably not since in most states you have to show proof in insurance when you renew. But if your state has a web page, go there and see. You neglected to say which state or country you are in, so I can't tell you the URL.

Michigan allows you to do that, and it works great. All states may be different
