GO WITH HIM.... Tell the folks to get used to divided holidays and promise them Christmas, mean it. That's when you get your presents after all. This is something every one comes up against as they couple up. It's not easy but compromises have to be made.
An additional consideration for the future is which holiday draws the most family together at which venue. If you feel welcome, go. It is awful short notice if you have promised your Mom to bring the pie.

If you really want to go, explain it to your family. As you get older there will be lots of Holidays you will miss. Another alternative would be to ask your family to hold the holiday dinner a day earlier so you can join in.

I would go with yoiur boyfriend. See if you can do a separate thanksgiving holiday with your family. Sometimes you just have to break with "tradition" and start your own thing.

:( why are you making the decision THE NIGHT BEFORE! If you havent mentioned it to your family at this point they are going to be disapointed in our lack of responsibility..
If your boy JUST told you he should expect that your not coming becuase he himself is putting you in a rude/late situation...
Do what you want but i guarantee your family will be kind of disgruntled if you havent mentioned this to them till today.. but whatever different familys are different :) Do what your first thought about thanksgiving is.

If you are under 18 years old, Leaving with him could causing him and his family allot of problems.
So stay with your family, enjoy your day, and see him when he gets back.
If you are over 18---then go and have fun---you will be leaving home someday, so get a taste of it by going with them.

Just tell him you like to stay with your family for thanksgiving. He needs to respect your decision.

If you're under 18 and still living with your parents, you really should stay home and help and be with them.
If you're over 18 (living with parents or not)....you're an adult now...and you should be with your boyfriend.
