What training to I need to become a Doula?

I'm interested in becoming a Doula, do I need previous medical experience, or do I just take a class?

there is a certificate program in our state.
it involves academic education plus things
like attending births etc. some experience.
not all states have licensing for doulas probably...
you don't need previous medical experience,
but it's much more than taking a class.
