Not all cats meow at dinner time. It may just be that she trusts you and knows you're going to feed her so she doesn't need to "ask." :-)

Cats often learn to be vocal from their interaction with you over time. When my cat was little, she didn't meow at all. Now, she meows constantly just for attention, even though she's already spoiled, and especially at meal time. Enjoy the silence, she'll learn to speak soon enough.

My kitten meows for attention so I can pet her or play with her, never for food. I put her food down and she never goes for it. She'll have a bite whenever she feels like it during the course of the day.
Don't worry, it's normal. Like my kitty, your kitten sounds like it's not food driven.

some cats vocalize a lot (like mine), while others tend to not "meow" unless absolutely necessary. My neighbor's cat for example "meows" sooooo rarely that the one time I actually heard her do it, she jumped up in surprise too! (as if to say, "was that really me?") I just carcked up laughing.

No !
Coz she's 5 months !
Ofcourse not. Its common among certain breeds and maybe ur kitten is just accustomed to getting meals without even bothering to ask for it..
Shows she is well fed by you.. you don't keep her hungry.. nice of you.
Don't worry It happened vid me also !

My cat that is 4 yrs old doesn't meow at dinnertime. She eats when she's hungry. Doesn't run for the food when you put it in her bowl... its normal.

May be over feeding. If hungry it will say thing to bug you to hand out food. Or rub you. Also depends on the cat.

Not all cats/kittens are vocal, so just because she doesn't talk at meal-time, doesn't mean anything is wrong.
