If you are claiming her as a lap child (one that doesn't have an actual seat), then yes. They will want proof of her age to make sure she still qualifies to fly without a seat. Make sure to check your ticket or the airlines web site because some airlines (I know Alaska Airlines for a fact) requires children 2 or older to have their own full fare ticket.

If I was you, I would bring with me some form of ID for your daughter just to make holiday travel that much easier.
