I have a 3 1/2 year old boy and almost 15-month-girl -- and I adore them but the peeing "accidents" and whining, clinginess, fighting for my lap, etc. is making me a little crazy today. Who wants to join me for a glass of wine -- who cares if its before noon! (I'm on mountain time)

Anyway, just needed to vent a little...I do love being a mommy but sometimes I sure miss having an office to go to and a secretary to run my earrands and a beautiful car to drive, and today is one of those days....have a great Thanksgiving!

I will share that glass of wine with you, hun. I have 4 children...3 are in school, and the other is 21 months old. So far today she has gotten naked 3 times, took the mustard out of the fridge and covered herself, and the floor with it, and threw 2 temper tantrums. I love being a mom more than anything, but I could really use some alone time.
Have a great Thansgiving too!

I understand completely. I'm 22 with a 34 year old who has two daughers 8 and 9. Always a mess, always fighting, always screaming, the little things they do to disgust us.
I hate a mess..I have a weird complex about germs and it drives me nuts everyday.

I guess all you have to do is try to find someone to give you a day off..Or, simply learn to deal with the small stuff since you decided to have them in the first place. It's more worth them being around and going through that than not having them at all.

Just learn to do something to deal with anger too. Maybe sunflower seeds, counting to 10, or taking deep breaths. Hope that helps! BUt yes, I understand !

I hear you, I have a 4 year old and a 15month old and am 33 wks pregnant. My husband works from 7-9pm every night and even some saturdays! I feel like a single mother and although I appreciate being ABLE to stay at home with my kids, I miss working. I will go for that drink, in a few weeks! :) Hang in there!

I have one better for you! Try being a foster parent to a child who has drug users for parents who are about to term rights and have to explain to this child why his parents are in "time out"...

It's Miller Time!

Happy Thanksgiving to you to!
