Before you start to clean your microwave. Mix some baking soda, grease fighting dish soap and water in a bowl and microwave it for 45seconds(ithink) this will help to loosen everything that's caked on inside. Then just wipe down and use a spray cleaner for anything left. But to be honest there are sometimes it's just easier to get a new microwave!

Place a bowl of water in the microwave. Bring it to a boil, about 3-5 minutes depending on the size of the bowl. Let the water sit in the microwave for about 30 minutes. The steam will loosen all the crud and you just wipe it out.

Pine Soil, Bleach with some hot water and 409 can also help.
