If you are in the U.S., go to freecycle.org. Go to your region and then to your local group. Sign up and watch the site. From time to time someone is giving away a dog. Good luck!

Look in the newspaper in the classifieds, there is almost always an ad for free puppies, dogs, and cats, ect. If that doesn't work, go to the pound and rescue an animal from certain death, it won't be free, but at least the dog or puppy will have been given its shots already (the reason they're not free).

go on craigslist.org. press the name of your city and click "free stuff" also check the newspapers, or go to a shelter. Usually they will give them shots, and you'll be saving an animal. They are usually around 50 dollars.
