It was around 4 weeks ago now i was on the internet and i saw a flash telling me "you won you won you won" $2.089.059. It then said "where do u want us to send your check?" I typed my details in and a message came up saying "plz give the check 4-6 weeks to arrive". It was from the free lotto company. I am really exited but i really want proof that it aint a scam. Has any1 else ever won anything big with them or the same as me? Help please/.

Have you ever watched that show THE REAL HUSTLE??? it says...if it seems to good to be true, it is. Who would give millions away for nothing? Why would anyone do that? Did you buy a ticket? NO. It is just a scam for them to get your personal details so that they can use them either for credit card fraud, identity theft and the like, or so that they can sell your details on to other companies and make money. Either way, you should NEVER beleive these pop-ups, similarly if you get e-mails like this DELETE them and do not send your details back. These are mean and evil people trying to take advantage of innocent people like you.

You silly girl for giving them your details, watch your post like a hawk and emails, make sure nothing goes missing or doesn't seem odd.... also if you can contact the company and ask to be taken off their data system..... If something is free on the net, unless it's a reputable company that you've seen ads for and maybe been a member for a while it's a scam and that's that.

You need to report this to someone in authority. You will almost certainly get put on what is called a 'suckers' list. You will probably receive more mail thru the post. Do NOT sign up for anything. Do not send any money. Be VERY careful.

I'm sorry but you were a bit naive there.
You need to be very assertive when on the 'net and you've given your details so whenever crappy flyers come through your door it is probably courtesy of the compan'IES' you gave your details to.

Next time, be careful!

Good Luck :0)

By The Way, " $2.089.059" isn't millions of dollars, it is TWO point ZERO, EIGHT, NINE, ZERO, FIVE, NINE dollars! Only 2 dollars, not 2 million!!!!

The chances of it not being a scam are so slender! Make sure you didn't enter in any important info, social security #, credit card info, etc. If you see any strange behavior on your cc accounts you should freeze these accounts and make a formal police report.

Did you give them any info that they could use to screw you, like bank account numbers?

If it's not a scam you will get the money. If it's a scam you will lose money. Wait and see yeah?

It was a scam. Your info is now floating around on the internet, and you should contact the credit bureaus to see if anyone has stolen your identity.

It probably is a scam, if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. From now on you're likely to get loads of junk mail.
