BIG SOFT GINGER COOKIES
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons white sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together the margarine and 1 cup sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then stir in the water and molasses. Gradually stir the sifted ingredients into the molasses mixture. Shape dough into walnut sized balls, and roll them in the remaining 2 tablespoons of sugar. Place the cookies 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet, and flatten slightly. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Depending on how elegant your wanting to make your pastries, you could always make donuts. You can mold them before cooking them and whatnot into different shapes.
All you do is take biscuit dough, either out of one of those cardboard pop cylinders, or by mixing the dough from scratch, then you heat oil to fry them in, either in a fryer or a pan. When the oil is hot, you place the dough in the pan, and let it cook till its golden brown.
To make a glaze you can use a small amount of water, usally just 2 teaspoons to half a cup of sugar and/or cinnamon or what ever other ingrediants you choose to cover your donuts with.
This is such an easy recipe. Its just a cook, glaze and serve process, and all you need is some dough, oil, and cinnamon, sugar, powdered sugar, sprinkles, frosting, and maybe some water or milk. Most of that is optional though. Good luck.

I know this is NOT what your looking for but basically all the recipes I would have sent have more than what you have... would you be willing to go to the store??
I have a great recipe that people go nuts for so see what you can do with this...
Warm Apple-Almond Pastry
1 cup sliced almonds, divided
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry sheets, thawed
2 firm, red baking apples such as Jonathan
1/4 cup apricot jam, warmed
Powdered sugar (optional)
Vanilla ice cream or thawed, frozen whipped topping (optional)
1.Preheat oven to 400°F. Grate 3/4 cup of the almonds using Deluxe Cheese Grater. In Classic Batter Bowl, combine almonds, granulated sugar, flour, whole egg, egg yolk and almond extract; mix well and set aside. Unfold one pastry sheet onto lightly floured Large Round Stone. Roll to a 101/2-inch square using Baker's Roller®. (Corners of pastry will touch edge of baking stone.) Prick pastry with pastry tool.
2.Spread almond mixture evenly over pastry to within 1 inch of edge. Cut apples lengthwise in half; remove stems and seeds using Cook's Corer®. Slice apple halves crosswise into 1/4-inch-thick slices using Utility Knife. Arrange slices in an overlapping pattern over almond mixture.
3.Using Pizza Cutter, cut remaining pastry into nine 1-inch strips. Moisten outer edges of dough with water. Arrange five of the strips diagonally over apples, twisting dough and pressing edges to seal; trim off extra dough. Arrange and press remaining four strips of dough around edge of pastry, forming an even border.
4.Bake 30-35 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown. Cool at least 10 minutes. Spread warm jam over apples and pastry. Place remaining almonds in Small Oval Baker; microwave on HIGH 5-7 minutes or until golden brown, stirring after each 30-second interval. Coarsely chop almonds using Food Chopper; sprinkle over pastry. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired; cut pastry into squares. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping, if desired.

Cook's Tip: Thaw puff pastry sheets at room temperature about 1 hour before using or microwave on LOW (20% power) for 3-4 minutes until thawed but still cold. Puff pastry that is too warm is difficult to work with.
I'll even help with your shopping list

you can make your own pastry crust but I'd go for the frozen
Buttery Pastry Crust
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
4 tbsp (60 mL) cold butter
1/4 cup (50 mL) butter-flavor solid vegetable shortening
1/2 tsp (2 mL) cider vinegar
2-4 tbsp (30-60 mL) ice cold water, divided
Directions:
1.Combine flour and salt in large bowl; mix well. Cut butter and shortening into flour mixture using Pastry Blender until butter and shortening resemble the size of small peas. Add vinegar and sprinkle 1 tbsp (15 mL) water over flour mixture; gently toss with a fork. Repeat with remaining water until dough is moist enough to form into a ball.
2.Gather dough into a ball; flatten to 1/2-inch (1 cm) thickness. Cover; refrigerate dough 30 minutes. Roll out dough on lightly floured surface and use as desired.
