Try a dose of reality for a change. You might develop a taste for it.
While I imagine that there are Christians who are embarassed by the very vocal nutcases like Falwell and Robertson who profess to share a relgiion with them, I do not believe for one moment that most Christians don't want people to know that they are Christians.

IF these so called Christians are ashamed to admit to man that they love God then they are no Christian at all. Jesus will tell then "Depart from me I never knew you." The word knew here means to have a personal relationship with.

that's because most Christians are scared of being mocked.
I say bring it on being a Christian is the most proud and exciting thing I've ever done.
And Jehovah's witness's don't bring the Christian message. It's a twisted version.

Yeah, with the president talking about his faith, and the christian bookstores, and radio shows, and multiple televisions CHANNELS, and the hundreds of christian colleges, I forgot how SHY they are!
