I've been diagnosed with psoriasis since I was 9 years old. 11 years later, I still have it and now it's worse than ever. I've seen 3 doctors on the matter and all the medicines they've prescribed have deemed useless. Does anybody have any suggestions? I've even tried shaving my head several times. I'm open to anything. Thanks

My Mom used to use this stuff that stains your skin, but, it works super great, and she's even completely rid of it, however, you may have to have the pharmacy order it, its called: "Oxypor", and its a tad expensive, but its a miracle medicine!! It stained mom's stomache, and elbows, when she used it, but eventually like most body stains, of sorts, they do go away. Good-Luck, to you! Just give your local pharmacy a "Jingle" and get things set up to order it. You might even have a pharmacy that keeps it stocked in back, who knows. But, I would definately give them a call. Happy Bird Day, to you & Yours!! smile!!!

I had a 13 year history of psoriasis, though I was in good health otherwise. But these severe large, thick and scaly excoriated plaques on my neck, ears, trunk and limbs ruined the way I was leading my life. I would be with red, inflamed itchy skin for most part of the year and these silvery scales would seem to be erupting without any reason. To make matters worse, blisters would appear over already red and itching skin. It was living hell.

I was treated with various options but nothing seemed to be working. Some of the treatments that I underwent in this depressing period of 13 years included tar preparation, tropical steroids and anthralin. I was also given light therapy many times but everything I tried would give me temporary relief.

And soon, after a few days I would be plagued with the situation again. In one of those moments when I was completely lost I stumbled upon this website just by chance. I read it and felt that as if someone had put the story my life on this web page. I was thoroughly convinced that if ANYONE can cure me of condition, it would be you.

And was I right, or what. I started recovering within 3 days of starting this treatment. Something that had become a painful part of me for 13 years was actually getting healed! My ears are healed and my neck is smooth again!. I am a month into the treatment and I have never felt better in my life!

Well, since you've tried all the doctor methods, here's a natural method I heard about - that increasing your doseage of Omega-3 fats may help people with psoriasis. The easiest way to do this is with either fish oil capsules or flax seed/flax seed oil. I used to make Good Seasons salad dressing with the flax seed oil/olive oil mix.

Some people theorise that several health problems arise from us eating too many Omega-6 type fats, and not enough Omega-3's.

These products are available at health food stores.

Hi i am staff nurse in the UK and worked on a dermatology ward for 4 years, we do something called the Ingram's regime here, which is a steroid based paste which you put only on the affected skin, you start on the lowest dose for 3 days and work your way up to the strongest, this means staying in hospital for a week and a half, as only trained nurses can do it, as if placed on good skin it will burn it off, also we use coaltar in the bath and for washing the hair

Psoriasis is caused by a virus embedded in the skin. The only cure is laser treatment. In the hair, could mean permanent hair loss.

psoriasis is genetic transmitted in family, drugs decreases the pain and itching but not absolute release ,my advice to plan your travel always to places of natural mineral baths like that found in Iceland and Turkey and many other places

It will never go away completely. My sister has it and she applys the stuff that the doctor gave her. You can also go to a tanning booth or be out in the sun a lot. Sunlight helps to lessen it. I hope this helps.
