Why dogs not see the colours?

Yes, dogs are color-blind. Their sense of smell is so good they do not need color vision to find prey or notice each other - there was no evolutionary advantage, so it never showed up.

Technically, we don't know if they do or not. We can only guess from examining their eye, we don't know how their brain actually processes it.

The theory that they can't has to do with the "cones" that process or pick-up on different color wavelengths in your eye. Humans have three while dogs only have two cones - reasoning suggests that therefore they only see the world in shades of gray i.e. black & white.

Another study suggests that their eye has many smaller cones that can pick up on some colors, like a human with colorblidness.

We don't know manily, but we can guess.

Dogs are not color blind, they just don't see as much of the color spectrum we do. They have less cones in the eyes which inhibits red, but blue and yellow can be seen by dogs.

Dogs can see some colors, but not as intensely as humans do. They can identify Blue and Yellow and we use these colors for our targets in obedience classes.

I dont know about anyone elses dog but mine can see color, and lots of it. She is very sweet like that

They see in colors, just not all the colors or as bright as we see them.

they do not hav the same chemicals or rings in the eyes as people who are not color blind. the pupil is different u cannot do anythin bout it
