We're all without sin - there's no such thing. :P
But yes, you're without sin. So am I. I guess we get to cast the first stones? Ha! You just discovered the best loophole, ever!

You are dead right. It is for you to accept or reject all those man-made laws. I do not want to get in to an argument with any one. I have a strong suspicion that all these so-called divine laws thrust on you as divine are well- thought laws out of mature human mind after years of experience. There is however a catch. Nothing is static in universe. Every thing is dynamic. These laws too have to change with time, people, places and circumstances. If society is static and does not update its laws these will loose their significance. In todays society you see many of these old institutions breaking down. To sum up Never feel guilty. You are well within your rights to not accept any of the laws if you do not agree with them as long as they are not on the statute book.

The bible says none is with out sin.
Romans states that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God."
And your values you speak of, well unless they line up with God then they are of no good to you.
the fact that your an atheist does not separate you from biblical law, you will still be judged by it. Use your prideful attitude then.

Morally and ethically upstanding is great, but not in the eyes of the lord. You are human just like everybody else.We were all born into sin.We all fall short of the glory of God.Just because you choose not to believe doesn't make you exempt from judgment day.

Look up the word sin again and not use the definition that suits your arguement.
What set of laws do you subscribe to?
We are born sinners but God so loved the world he sent his son to die for your sins.
God Bless

Well JesrseyRic, your definition is a tad off-base.
You have supposed that sin is an action.
Not so.
Sin is a condition.
In the original language of the Bible, it means "missing the mark."
We aren't perfect, none of us, not even you.
Perfection was the centre of the target, but we're all missing the mark.
Please don't mis-interpret 'perfect' either.
It doesn't mean the ability to do everything.
It just means doing / being as originally intended.

I would have to agree with your musings, but only you know if you are morally and ethically upstanding. Morals and ethics are outside of religion or statute law.
Good Boy. Since everyone rights their own ethics and morals......

Sorry dear, but it doesn't work that way.
George W. is our president weather we agree with him or believe in him or not. (That is if you are an American. If you are not, then you have another leader, but it is the same principle) We can't just say, I don't believe in him, therefore laws don't apply to me. And no one "subscribes" to any law. It is the same with God. He is there and has authority no matter what anyone says or thinks.

No, according to God's standards ( which are most important and which you will be judged by) YOU HAVE SINNED. WE ALL HAVE. Look at his Commandments- answer them- one by one- have you broken any of them? Of course you have- especially "lying"
Everyone needs forgiveness- because sin separates man from God- and the result of that is Hell- for there is punishment for sin, but God showed his own love towards us that while we were sinners Christ died for us- so that those who believe will be forgiven and given eternal life! --See Romans 5:8
We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God- Romans 3:23

If you are correct in your gamble that there is no God, and that you are indeed master of your own destiny, then you will probably be okay with that logic.
However, if you are incorrect in your assumption that there is no God, and you find yourself face to face with Him (as the Bible says we all will stand someday), you'll have to rely on your own righteousness for your justification at that point.
You better be right on this gamble. The stakes are pretty high.
