Any ideas how late the metro has run on New Year's eve in previous years- do they have special hours? This year New Year's eve is a Sunday and I don't want my friends and I trapped in DC because it's on the normal Sunday schedule (closes at midnight).

The website says nothing special for New Year's Eve, just New Year's Day, so I would assume a regular Sunday schedule. but call the below number to check-

Im not sure, but I seem to remember 2 new years ago we caught the subway from DC back to MD around 2am. check their website out. also, dont forget about the sober cabs. every year for new years eve local news channel will post the numbers of cabs you can call and will take you home for free, I believe if you've been drinking. have fun!!!
