There are ways around that, they do not need money. They need to contact DCF if they really want to get rid of him. call the police and get a restraining order and that does not cost a thing. They have to start by reporting the incidents. She can also tell someone in the school and they can help get someone to help them. But the only way this can happen is with their cooperation and they have to really want this to happen. Because having money to do it is just an issue. In the meanwhile your friend ned to convince her mother into letting her stay with a relative or you until this can be resolved. Or if you really want to help you have to tell someone, you do the calling. But you have to make sure that your friend and her mother is really tired of this guy, because this can cause drama between you guys. Trust me take it from someone who has been there and done that, money is not an issue when it comes to being abused..

first of all all you can do is be her friend and be there for her you are not responsible for her dads actions or the lack of her mothers... im srry honny but that is an excuse on her moms part there are lots of places she can go to get her child out of that house.. if it meant i had to stay there and die a horrible death at that mans hands my child would be out of there and in a safe place her mom is just as guilty for not stopping this it is a parents job to keep there child safe at all times... talk to your parents they should know how to help by calling the law ect if the law is called they can step in... in ohio even if the family member doesnt press charges the cops will once they have been called..im not sure about where you live but talk to your parents
SEXY why would you encourage a child into violence i guess the 2 point was worth it?

First off, you are a wonderful friend to be so caring.
Now, call the police, talk to the school, call dss. CALL SOMEONE. If she's being abused she will always think that it's ok. She needs help. Have you tried talking to your parents? Maybe that's a good start. Keep telling until someone listens. If he ever leaves marks on her have her go into the office and show them.
When I was a kid my mother beat me all the time and got away with it. One day I was changing for PE and they saw bruises all over my body. They took me away for 30 days but then sent me back. I think the laws are tougher now.
Good luck to you and your friend. She is very lucky to have you.

The best thing to do would to call the police and also Child protective service. Tell the police exactly what you said on here, especially about your friend being beaten with a stick.

Sadly there isn't much you can do but be there for her when she needs ya. The mother or the child needs to call the police and report each incident when she is being abused. Or make sure she goes to the hospital to get checked each time and the Dr.s will eventually call them when and if they notice a pattern or abuse.

Call the police. Have your friend keep a diary of all the dates and times she is abused. Have her take pictures of any bruises or marks left by her dad. You can also call 1-800-254-5400 to report suspected child abuse.

well this is prettey serious. i think you should tell an adult about this. if you keep this in from anyone else she will keep getting hurt. and we know you dont want that. so see if you can raise the money yourself. try working for extra money and if you cant do it by yourself then get other people who know and care about her to help you. if it still doesnt work talk to your mom and dad and see if they can do something. maybe you can request her to live with someone she knows and trusts in her family. like her aunt or grandparents or uncles. and if her mom is hurting as well try to let her and her mom go somewhere else as well. see what happens. good luck. hope she is okay.

call the police then tell her that she and her mother and other family members need to go to a safe house shelter for battered women and children. The police can help her with this.
