That the builders and workmen are dedicated to their goal of portraying what the Bible says happens is admirable. That they expect 300,000 visitors a yeat is going to change the local economy extremely and unless the locals are prepared to also profit from this influx, they will suffer extremely. Perhaps one of the more helpful business would be a laundromat with a gameroom and an affordable health bar. Besides offering the weary travelers a place to relax without having to stay overnight, one will be in position to serve the motels and hotels in this development zone with pick-up and delivery service. Now would be a good time to at least lease the land needed for such a venture.

"...the first institution in the world whose contents, with the exception of a few turtles swimming in an artificial pond, are entirely fake."

That pretty much says it all. A museum of fakeness, based on fictional stories - no reality except a few turtles, and they are in an artificial pond. Even Disney World has some real stuff.

On the face of it it is amusing but it also has a sinister side. How many kids will go there and actually believe the crap they see is for real? Misinforming young minds about the natural world because of your theological beliefs is criminal.

This thing is only 5 minutes from where I live... it's making a BIG DEAL here... mostly it's the laughter. *wink* You should see the Jesus Amusement park they have in Florida. This type of thing is really getting out of hand here... They can NOT complain that people are "persecuting" them when they are allowed to put out such things as this.

And yes, only in America. I wonder if I can convince someone in Canada to let me move in with them....

You got that right! This kinda stuff is getting out of control here. It's funny, definitely. But also scary. I see it as 20 steps backward into our de-evolution.

Well if you don't like America, leave and find out just how good you have it here.Arguing about religion is one thing, but when you start slapping America around, the rules change.

If you want to be a terrorist fine, but be prepared to pay the consequences.

The first amendment protects you from the government.

It doesn't protect you from me.
