when you are at the dentist do you mind wearing the bib and retractors when they work on you and wear glasses for orthodontics? do you mind the feeling of rubber gloves in your mouth and the mask on the dentist?

I dont mind. I woul rather wear the bib so I dont get spit (well blood in my case the other day when I had teeth pulled lol) all over my clothes. I really dont mind. The only thing I hate is being numb. I have never had a cavity or anything just had to get teeth pulled for braces. And I really dont notice the feeling of the rubber gloves. Lol.

I hate it when I have a clean at the dentist and the water goes down my airways! I don't mind wearing the goggles cos I always end up having water splashed over my face and in my eyes. I hate the rubber gloves though. Makes my mouth taste weird!

I don't mind, although I don't like the taste and feel of the rubber gloves. Unfortunately though, there's no way around it, since the dentist has to keep himself protected and us protected with the rubber gloves. It prevents any kind of cross-infection.

i hate everything about the dentist and my dentist knows it! i hate the fact i have to have my mouth stretched to tearing point and cold steely rods and mirrors put in, i hate the rubber gloves, especially when they squeak on the teeth it makes me want to cry. the worst worst thing though was when i had a protective fluid put over my teeth, it tasted disgusting, i had to wear glasses which gave me a headache and i couldn't move my tongue and mouth, it was torture!!! and then at the end of it all you have to pay THEM for the privilege! great!

I would rather have that bib get the gunk from my mouth than my shirt. I would rather taste the latex than the dentists hands.

Not pleasant I grant you but it's preferable to catching a cold or something from him/her - bear in mind he spends all day with his fingers in other people's mouths, breathing in their germs. It's good if he does what he can to avoid passing anything on to you.

depends on how much in pain I'm in. just as long as they make the pain go a way, and i would rather them use the gloves i don't know where their hands have been.
