Oh God ppl. Voodoo is not evil! All religions have the same possibility of having a dark side. Catholics have child molestation, baptist reverednds have extramarital affairs with congregation, etc. If you truly believe that voodoo is evil look into that. Voodoo is used by many followers as a deep connection between spirits and the earth forces that govern our lives. Voodoo is on your dollar bill! Dont' believe me take out a one and look on the back. See the pyramid with the eye atop it? That is a voodoo symbol that means introspection into the unknown. Why did our fore fathers adopt that symbol from the african nation if its evil? Also look at the medical symbol for prescriptions, the snakes up the staff. It symbolizes the human beings' tendency to swivel like a snake to and from Goddess which is at the top of the staff. Voodoo is not all about sticking pins into wax figures and such! Do not be narrow minded. We are not some religious cult that seeks to destroy the lives of people. Not all voodoo is black magic! We use it to better our lives and those that use it for crude purposes are not following the principles. It is the same with the wiccan religion. If you screw around with the dark side of things yes, it is evil but realate that to every religion on this earth. Christian puritans burned witches at the stake and broke the comandment thou shalt not kill. Is this radical fundamentalism or what? Jesus was resurrected from the dead, yes. However are you correlating this to the blind thought that Goddess is some sorcerer? Voodoo is not about sacrifice or murder. We do not kill animals and smear their blood over people. Please be more open minded. )0(

Sabbath were Christian (listen to Master of Reality)but they rocked. Of course Master of Reality has Faeries wear boots on it so I guess they were cool stoned Christians. Look, Sabbath is the best rock band that ever struck a god damn note as far as I'm concerned. I do prefer the first six albums (one word: OZZY) but Ian Gillan had his moments and Mob Rules is better than Never Say Die or the sadly terrible Technical Ecstacy. Why I am I ranting about Sabbath on this question about Christianity? Because they are way more interesting.

you just about hit the nail on the pinnacle and the scriptures improve the flexibility/threat to be open to the brainwashing concepts . some have been going for 6000 years ,and are generally as much as date to maintain %. with the ordinary public credibility point. It surprises me that the devil and hell continues to be believed via a approaches too many so programming for a degeneration of intelligence is likewise at play besides as keys that preclude the addicted human beings from believing the certainty, they might not see an Alien if it squatted on their nostril. .

Jesus is supposed to have made the ultimate, that is to say, the Last and most important Sacrifice for our sins.
In voodoo, one keeps having to make many sacrifices of different sorts to many different gods and spirits.

"Voodoo" was the African (esp. Yoruban) traditional religion of Vodun, overlaid by a thin veneer of Catholicism. During colonial slave-trading times, slaves brought Vodun with them to Haiti and to other islands in the West Indies.
Once in Haiti or the other West Indies islands, they were baptized as Catholics, and slave masters and priests did their best to suppress the African Vodun belief.
But their efforts didn't work, because while attending mass (as forced to by their masters), slaves simply continued to follow their original faith, using saints as "fronts" for their older religious practices.
Vodun means "spirit", and it is a religion that worships traditional Gods of Africa and has veneration of ancestors as a key component of the religion. Vodun says that the chief God, Olorun, is remote and unknowable; there are more accessible spirits called "Loa" whom the believers of Vodun can petition for help, or ask for guidance.
Vodun is now practiced without the overlay of Catholicism in many parts of the world.

One of the big things about slave owners in the New World was to convert their African slaves to Christianity. Practicing their tribal religions could result in torture or death, so they did it while disguising it as Christianity. They picked saints and used those name for their tribal Gods, and mingled their traditional methods with those of the imposed religion of their captors. This type of combination of Pagan and Christian belief is called Meso-Paganism, and it remains quite common in many parts of the world. In Cuba the resulting faith became known as Santeria, and it still practiced in many Hispanic communities throughout the U.S. In Haiti it became known as Obeah, or Voudoun, in areas with a heavy French influence like Louisiana, it was Voodeaux. Sacrifice of animals is part of many Santeria and Voudoun rituals, just as it used to be in many other religions, Judaism and Christianity included.

Sorry but must say that Chirstiany is NOTHING AT ALL like Vodoo! Vodoo is EVIL and from the creol people and they brought it over to America from Africa. Jesus' death was for our sins so that through him we to might be able to enter heaven. Christiany teaches faith and love for others also it teaches everday values.
