Why does Religion make God into a father figure?

The God essence resides within all of us, making us One with God. Making God one sex or another points to a separateness, going against the Unity that is at the very core of Spirituality.

Because God is hard to understand so he needs to be represented by something that is tangible so that we could in hopes someday understand the untangible.

It says here the glory of God is NOT TO BE MADE INTO AN IMAGE.....MAN..birds..ect.

In the Bible...man represents the spirit, woman represent the soul...they are one flesh. So then the man would then also represent God.

Basic theology will tell you God has no gender. The Bible refers to Him as male simply because that is the default gender in any language.
