You're more normal than ever. Those are all good things that you've listed. I think you should add a 10...
10. Relieved of feeling compelled to defend the indefensible.
P.S. Well isn't "mel" a rude little bastard. Pay no attention to the preachers of delusion, AEC. They just want to bring you down with their imaginary demons and then let their pretend deity build you back up. It's the only way they know.

Yes you are very normal it is the same feelings I got when I became an Atheist. I had a girl friend who invited me to her home. Her family were Atheist. When I saw how happy, kind and contented they were I became an Atheist. When I told my family they were appalled. My mom tried to force me to go to church. She drove me to church that Sunday and when I got to the door I refused to go in. She tried to drag me and I set down on the ground. The preacher tried to lift me up and take me inside. I kicked him on the shin then they let me go back to the car. After church my mom took me home and I haven't been to church since. I don't claim to be more intelligent because of my belief. I find many Christians and believers in other faiths to be smarter than me. I don't want other religious people to forsake their religion. I'm only stating what I believe. Others can believe as they please. God bless kisses Betty.

Dear Atheist Eye Candy,
With absolutely no malice or sarcasm, I can say that everysince I became a Christian those things are true for me.
I don't know about the normal thing. I know many people think I am not normal when I stick to my beliefs and don't participate in things that they see as ok but that I feel don't glorify God.
I guess it is who's version of normal you want to fit in to.
I hope that someday, this side of eternity, God touches your heart and helps you find His normal. I am not saying that to be offensive, so please don't take it that way!
Hope you have a good day!

It depends on the day for me. I can be jealous, petty, hateful, snobby, unhelpful, paranoid, discontented, unsatisfied, uncertain and fearful. But that is just me from time to time.
Edit to #10 above.
Hell is a place that Christians go. Atheists won't get there.

Yes, you are normal. I went thru this when I became a Pagan (after going thru the whole mess of Christians trying the guilt-trip thing)

All i can say is thats the devils way of tricking you eventually if you keep leading this lifestyle you will suffer cause thats all in the devils plan to get you all warmed up in the beginning and think that your living right and when you get to the lowest point in your life your going to feel as though no one cares for you, but Jesus does he died for you FOR YOU to gain righteousness and this is how you repay him you are foolish in not believeing in him just plain Stupid!

I am swinging between what you are (where i wanna be) and being an agnostic.
But all in all, religion in the form it is today is more abour fear than deliverance. I believe in God, but i don't believe religion can help me reach him.
Anyay, you go girl!!
