I am honored to get a thumbs down for telling the truth. That helps me see the kinds of others who are reading the answers, although yesterday I posted an answer that no one had time read in the time it took them to give me 3 thumbs down. (Less than three minutes!)

So as a rating system thumbs up or down are worthless!

I certainly do. I feel it means that someone here dislikes me and my views enough that they are willing to childishly thumbs down every answer I give. That's fine. If in doing that they can feel better about themselves, more power to them. These are most likely the same people who constantly report me. I don't care. I can churn out another account faster than it took me to type this answer.

Yup, all feedback can be educational.
When someone doesn't support my thinking, I reexamine my response and reconsider the other's possible viewpoint.
I may not change my opinion, mind you, but it's nice to see a response nonetheless.

i dont care what people think of what i have to say. winning an argument on the internet is like winning a race in the special olympics; regardless of who wins you are still both losers.

I don't think it an insult or a compliment. It is merely the opinion of someone else about my opinion.

I notice people say a lot funny answers and that becomes the best answer...it seems we prefer a joke over the truth? Cause some of us can't handle it baby! lol anyways, i agree with you.

All depends on the circumstances. I usually take it to mean that I've made someone's head hurt from thinking, poor things.

I'm indifferent-I express my views openly and honestly and whether people like them doesn't concern me.
