Take in 1200-1500 calories per day. Exercise 30 min. per day. If you are a male, then you will need more calories though.

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

40 lbs in 4 months is do-able but it is for those who are overweight. You are not, by your writing.
If you focus on that, you will have untold health problems. You will get something not bargained for. Don't attempt it.
People who are marginally anorexic attempt such methods. If you do that, you will end up in trouble and in a hospital. Are you sure you want that?
Sad stories of people who have lost that much weight come up all the time. Do not set yourself up for that. That's my serious advise to you.

Hi,
I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills.php . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

You can try weight watchers. It is a really great program. They have the weight watchers meals in local stores. You can also join a gym. If you don't want to join a gym, simple walking around your block will help. You can go from walking at first then to jogging then to running. Start out slow so you won't hurt yourself. You can go on websites and they can tell you how many calories you need to take in per day just by your weight and height.

Mindfulness Meditation by Jon Kabat-Zinn PhD
It will improve your endurance, patience, help you to forgive yourself when you occasionally fail & eat that piece of pie, etc.
It produces inner peace, but especially it improves Cognitive thinking, memory,
Concentration and focus, improves self-esteem and ones self-image. And one needs a stable healthy mind-set to lose weight quickly. And Mindfulness Meditation accomplishes this.
Also stay away from all fast food places, do not drink sodas, or beer. Stay away from candy, especially chocolate. Mindfulness Meditation gives one the will power to succeed.
And drink 1 full 8 oz. glass of water before every meal, especially lunch and dinner. Never eat anything after 6:00 PM
Be Very Patient and Forgiving toward yourself, especially during Holidays. Be kind to yourself.
R.N. - with Masters Degree.
P.S. - Diets didn't work for me. I used Mindfulness Meditation and the advise I shared with you above, and I lost 98 lbs. And have kept in off, while I continue to use Mindfulness Meditation simply just 15 min. a day. One does not make their mind go blank, it is mindful meditation in the present moment, which improves so many areas of ones life. It is a simple way of life. And it has been proven to produce to much success !!!

If you're not overweight, then you probably don't want to lose 40 lbs, well, unless you want to be underweight. Just stop eating in that case.
