Science is still working out the origins of the universe, and I'm comfortable knowing that this is an emerging set of knowledge. And there are no such things as ghosts.

The fact that I don't know for sure doesn't worry me, there are tons of things we can't explain. But every day we find out new things that we didn't know before. Until then, I'll have to settle for educated guesses and speculation. I still prefer that over taking someone else's word for it, which is how I percieve religious creation myths.
As for ghosts, you'll have to be more specific. When did anyone ever produce any measurable data from a ghost? I must have missed it. Until we get any, we have to allow for the chance that there are no ghosts...

Your premise is that there is a god. An atheist's premis is that the universe just exists and will continue to cycle. Prove either. Each is nothing but faith. And if you are Swedenborgian then ghosts are nothing more than the energy of the person left after they die. You have an energy and the earth is one big capacitor, it stores energy. The life force for all of the people who have died is still here. And if you are into reincarnation then your life force will return to some body some day since you are still here.

Personally, I dont care. To me, I only have one life and I want to live it to its fullest. I don't know how we got here, because there are possibilities.
I mean, we don't know because we were never there, it could be by God, Big Bang or a 4 Brothers playing a game and one of them got in the middle or something.
As long as possiblities exist, anything is possible, so I just don't know, but I am an atheist, but I am very very very open minded because anything is possible.
So, I don't know where I go when I die, I'll find out when I die, until then, I wanna live my life having fun, doing what I love and just go on.

Given the lack of available evidence the most logical answer is I have no idea but I would bet on science revealing the hard evidence in the very near future that theology has failed to provide in over 2000 years of trying. How do you explain ghost is a good one-how do you explain an alleged supernatural phenomenon? More to the point why would you want to?

I don't think ghost are real, and until they are proven to be then that's my opinion on things. And as for the universe, I don't believe god created it, but I do believe in the "Big Bang."

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd, as absurd as your ghosts too.

You have too many questions...
Universe: Big Bang ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_bang )
Confirmed by Cosmic Background Radiation ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_microwave_background_radiation ) and the fact that light from distant planets is red-shifted ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redshift )
World: Planetites being pulled together by gravity, then start turning to create the plaent we know and love today. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth#History )
Us: Formed from early gases being electrically charged to produce organic compounds (Confirmed by the Miller-Urey experiment: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miller-Urey ), then evolution ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolution ). Evolution requires reproducing organisms, starting with simple RNA ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Origin_of_life / http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RNA_world_hypothesis ). Then it needs natural selection for development ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natural_selection ) and ecological niches for speciation ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecological_niche ).
I explain ghosts by stating that there is no such thing. People who claim that there are, are lying or delusional.
Need more explanation than that? You might want to go consult a professor or teacher.

This really should be in the science section!!! Its a very long explanation, you're probably best off reasearching at a library or somewhere if you are genuinely interested! Or keep an eye out on the Discovery Channel, they often have sciencey shows on...

universe looks like a big bang scenario right now
never seen a ghost
(in case you don't know big bang + evolution theory of cosmos, spacetime erupts from a singularity, the lighter elements form as it expands, stars form from clouds of gas and create heavier elements, planets form from an accretion disk of dust and gas from exploded stars... this or a similar process is the best theory we have at current)
