Aww, leave them alone. Maybe they're just not the peppy, upbeat type. Some people love to complain, and maybe they are enjoying the class in their own way. Let them keep to themselves in their own "whiners" group. Unless they are making loud, negative remarks to the whole class, then just cheerfully rebuke them.

I don't understand why they are attending if they are not enjoying themselves. Maybe they just enjoy moaning, maybe they like to pretend they are not having a good time, when really they love it. Maybe you should tease them a little and say, 'I know you girls love to whine, but just admit you love my class really'. If they see the funny side, then you know it's all an act. If not, then I don't see why they even bother turning up, they know the way the class is conducted, so why do they keep coming if they don't like it? Good luck. HTH : )

Some people just aren't "up" people- these 2 were probably sour young women. I'm not sure, other than ignoring them, that there is anything you can do to change their attitude.

Ask them if they have any suggestions for the class. If not tell them politely they don't need to attend the class or they need to stop their whining.

You can't. Your best bet is to subltly encourage them to quit. They are going to be miserable regardless just don't make your fault. It must appear to be their choice so, give them a way out.

Honestly, I would simply tell them that if their not enjoying themselves, maybe their not meant to be in this class. Maybe there's another activity they would enjoy more.
