Avoid any dry food with corn meal (hard to digest) or animal by products (not safe and not tested) as these are just fillers and not healthy for your animal. Try to find a food that is high in protein and lists the first ingredient as meat (chicken, beef, or lamb meal) and their second ingredient as either more meat, or rice.

To help your dog eat, find a healthy dry treat he/she enjoys, and break it into small pieces and mix it in the dog food. Praise your dog when he/she eats. It should only take a few times before your dog begins to eat the food.

Avoid putting oils or broths over the food, as the dog will begin to expect it, and won't eat the food without it. It could also upset your dogs stomach. The best bet to get your dog eating is to keep the food dry.

good luck

Do not give people food unless you want her to end up with a diabetic, or I am assuming already obsese dog. I have worked in a vet clinic and saw the long term results of people food to dogs. You are basically shortening your dogs life, with organ failures etc. People food is bad enough for people, and dogs don't have as much tolerance to all of the sodium, sugars, and everything else.
Stop feeding people food. Let her whine, but she will eat dog food when hungry. An easier transition would be to give her some canned food mixed with dry food.

I feed my dogs Nature's Recipe Venison and Rice dry food and I mix in some "Lamb Log or Lamb Roll" by "Pet Botanics". They always eat their food with gusto. The Lamb log, I slice and then cube or if the breed is very small you can grate it.
The Venison and Rice is a brand that is good for dogs that have allergies or reactions to some foods. The Lamb Log, also available in Beef, is something they love, love, love and it's also good for treats.
Human food does not meet the requirements for what a dog needs in its diet and you could be harming your dog unintentionally. I occasionally give my dogs select table scraps which they love but their staple food is what I listed.
Whenever you change a dogs' diet it is good to slowly convert from what they are used to, to the new food. Start about a forth new for a few days, mixed with what they usually eat, then a third new for a few days, then half, then two thirds, then all the new food. You may want to start with a different food than what I feed mine. Just check that it isn't loaded with fillers, toxic preservatives, artificial coloring, etc. Some other good brands are Royal Canin- has a very small kibble for "baby" dogs, Dick Van Patten's Dog food, PetSmart Authority Oven Baked brand dog food, Flint River Ranch dog foods. These are all higher quality. Authority is excellent and reasonably priced, readily available. So is Nature's Recipe.

First off the best way to stop her from eating your food is to not allow her access to it. If you take away that, she will eventually eat her own food. Of course, there could be another reason they don't want her food, like a food allergy. It might be a good idea to visit the vet to get the dog checked out.
Also, make sure you are feeding them a good quality food that has some sort of meat as the first ingredient...

It is obviously a bad and harmful habit to feed your dog human food. Clearly, you are creating the problem by feeding her food she shouldn't be eating. You need to be firm, take the dog outside or into the garage during family meals, and feed her dog food only. You'll find that even YOU will eat dog food when it's your only choice. This is an owner issue, not a dog issue.

put up some canned food and some dry food out for her and keep her away from the dinner table when you eat, this way she will stop associating the dinner table with feeding time and since she will have food out she will eat as soon as she gets hungry. Why put two things of food? Because you need to find out what she likes first and start from there until you get her on dry food only with canned food as supplement, she will be healthier that way.

Ya, don't give her your food. Try another dog food. Human food is not good for dogs. You are teaching the dog a bad habit. Eventually if the dog is hungry enough, it will eat. Good luck!

The reason your dog won't eat dog food and will only eat YOUR food is because you keep giving her your food. Stop giving her your food. She'll get hungry and eat her own food. Pretty simple.

Don't let her eat your food. She will get hungry, and she'll start to eat her food again. If it helps, you could try putting some of that doggie gravy on top...not all the time, but to get her interested in her food again.

Just really don't give her any people food. It is terrible for dogs.
