If you go to these message boards -

www.glutenfreeforum.com
www.celiacforums.com

We are all getting ready for the holiday season with recipes, tips, product recommendations, etc.

It can be overwhelming at first, but there is a lot of support out there.

I've been gluten-free just since January. For Thanksgiving tomorrow, I'm making >the< pumpkin pie for a non-gluten-intolerant group of family over at my in-law's house. I've also done some experimenting with Christmas cookies and have been able to replicate my mom's traditional cookies to the point where I really can't tell the difference. All of this is because of the support and encouragement I got from the people on those boards.

It's also very common for people with gluten intolerances to have other intolerances such as dairy and soy. So there are a lot of people to talk to about multiple intolerances and how they work around them.

I know this answer doesn't include any recipes, but the truth is that there aren't as many limits to eating with food intolerances as you might think. Just do a search on those boards for whatever you're in the mood for and you'll find lots of options.

I hope you stop by, and hope you start feeling better.

I hope you like corn tortillas and rice and potatoes! I don't have any specific recipes, but as long as you stick to those things instead of bread, and pasta, you will be fine.

I had the same problem with sensitivity...same things....I stopped eating them for a year, and now I eat them again with no problems. I really went whole hog on the non wheat. I tried eating grains like quinoa and amaranth. Bitter grains a lot like couscous. I couldn't eat that stuff.

Go to your health food store. The employees there will help you so much! They usually love the stuff they sell, and will talk your ear off about their products. They often have recipes printed out that they can give you. It helps to sell their merchandise.

The above website is a place that you can order food from, plus I think they sell recipes books. I hope this helps you out. I am sorry you are not able to eat/drink items w/gluten. I know it's a lot of work but the positive side is, you will be soooo much more healthy.
