Classics are Pat's and Gino's, but I love Jim's on South Street.
williamL is right. It's all about the rolls.
I realize this might be upsetting but...NO CHEEZE WIZ or TOMATO SAUCE should be involved! Also, mayo is never part of a Philly Cheese Steak. Yikes. It's roll, meat, cheese and maybe fried onions. I add ketchup, salt and pepper.

yes the ones from south street in philly are the best they use rib eye steak and breat thats made there in philly. no one can copy this for some reason. we have a place here in virginia that makes a good philly steak he drives to philly to get bread once a week.
