The normal Gatorade/water thing the next day helps. Also, a big fat greasy breakfast also tends to help for some reason, even though thinking about it makes me sick. You might want to try keeping yourself hydrated while you drink to prevent hangovers. I always drink a bottle of water or so before I go drinking, and have a glass or two while I'm drinking, and then have some before bed. I rarely feel too horrible in the morning anymore when I go this route.

The dehydration that comes with a hangover is a result of your body flushing out the 'poison' of alcohol. To do this it will literally strip water out of cells and even use the fluid that your blood cells float in.

Result? Headache as the goo tries to pound through capillaries in your head. Aspirin will help with pain management and thinning the blood, rehydration is an absoute must, and, while you're replacing things, don't forget vitamins.

Water-soluble vitamins are flushed out of you in huge amounts as you pee away last night's fun! A couple of plain old over-the-counter multivitamins can go a long way toward getting rid of that "draggy" feeling.

Best wishes!

GATORADE!!! I have to go with that. But to prevent it, I personally take 3 advil and drink 40-50 oz of H2O before bed. A friend of mine swears by the 5 hour energy shots they sell at Walgreens, she never gets hangovers anymore. Good luck.

Gatorade or anything else with electrolytes - basically a lot of liquids to rehydrate yourself. This won't make you feel better right away, but I guess it's supposed to be good for you. I've heard people say working out helps. Of course it is hard to get motivated and sucks at first but apparently you sweat it out or something. I've never been tough enough to try that route myself. :) Of course, the traditional Mexican cure is menudo - tripe soup. Yuck! Maybe it's a cure because it makes you throw up.

Prevention is the best medicine. Don't over drink and you won't end up with a hangover.

A red beer and or posole. If I get a hangover that's what cures mine. Or a smothered burrito.

Really Greasy food. Like a big burger or some kind of deep fried appetizer, french fries, cheese curds, hash browns etc. They say caffeine helps and lots of water.
