i knoe jessica simpson says it does, but personally i don't think she's that trustworthy right about now.
NE way,
i've heard some things that it's not good for your skin (from peoplr who like to do it the "natural" way)
that it works overnight (stupid commercials)
and that it works but it takes 5-7 months ( older sisters best friend, but her problem was really bad, mine isn't as bad as that)
so if anybody has had personal experience with it, i'd appreciate it if you shared the outcome with me and let me know if it's worth however much it costs. thanks.

my 14 year old daughter has been using it for almost a year now and her skin is great; much improved and definitely not getting worse as it would be without treatment. i had terrible acne as a teen, so i think she's avoiding the discomfort of it at least. she still gets blemishes but only one or two at a time, which is much better than five to twenty!
i think, though, that she could do as well using phisoderm to wash with. her grandmother buys the proactive or it would be a no-go for us as I cannot afford it. phisoderm is a liquid soap sold at most pharmacies; it's what surgeons use to prewash their hands before surgery, so it's a great germ killer, which is all proactive is. you could try using the phisoderm first and see how it works and if not, move on to the proactive; if the proactive doesn't show results within the first month, I wouldn't buy it again.
i don't know what type of acne you have, or how bad you think it is, so I can't advise the best way to treat it, but there are a lot of options out there. the good thing about proactive is that that company has done all the research already and you know it will work if your acne is the type that can be controlled by external applications; some people need to take antibiotics to relieve them of the acne.
feel free to email me and i'll pass the message on to my daughter who can give you first hand knowledge, if you'd like
have a great day

I've been using Proactiv for almost 3 months. I still have a few zits, but not nearly as many as I used to, and my face keeps getting better and better. I also feel like the overall condition of my skin has improved. It's not too dried out or too oily. For me, Proactiv is definitely worth the $20 a month (a 60 day kit is $40). I do think that the key to using it is to find what works best for you - I do the entire 3 step system at night, but in the morning I just use the face wash and then just put the lotion directly on zits rather than all over my face (I skip the toner in the morning).

yea i truly would NOT reccomend it... its not voted number one by dermotologist, so right there, thats a big no in your face,,,its way to expensive and you can buy the same damn thing at walgreens for less than half the price...,all i can say , is if you have ance and do not like your skin, GO TO A DERMOTOLOGIST... i just started going 2 months ago after a bad hormonal change, and my face is like a babies butt again, its crazy how wonderful those doctors are... my dermotologist is now my best friend... it is completely worth the money, and in the end... youd pay more for over the counter stuff that doesnt even work.. if you have hormonal acne,, NOTHING over the counter will take it away,. because it is all internal. trust me, my doctor has made me a genius about skin care. It might not have been the fact that it took 5-7 months to work,, it could have just been a hormonal body change that ironically started going away on its own... thus her face clearing up. Actors/actresses get paid A SH!T load of money to do those infomercials.. if they really supprted and loved the product they wouldnt have to be paid.

You're getting some good feedback. Obviously, this isn't a miracle cure. The key thing to remember there are many different causes of skin problems, calling for many different solutions. A dermatologist might help. But try the link below for the opinions of actual users. Good luck!

It doesn't work for everyone.
I used it and it completely ruined my skin for about a month.
I would suggest seeing a dermatologist who can put you on a personalized skin care plan. It's the best thing I ever did.
