I've worked in an emergency veterinary clinic for years, and a lot of people call with chocolate questions. There's a general rule of thumb; the darker the chocolate, the more harmful it is. Baking chocolates and extra-dark chocolates have the highest toxicity, and milk chocolates the lowest (your hot chocolate falls into this category).
The worst that will happen to your dog is that he may experience some vomiting and/or diarrhea. These sorts of upsets are very common in dogs who've ingested significantly more milk chocolate than your little guy (think: Halloween - "My dog just ate my child's entire stash of candy"). Make sure he's got access to some fresh cool water to help calm his belly if he's feeling a little peaky.
Don't beat yourself up - he'll be fine, and it was just an honest mistake! Best wishes to you and your pooch.

He should be fine. Chocolate is harmful yes, but in larger doeses than 1/4 cup of hot chocolate. My dog just recently raided what was left of the halloween candy. She just passed some wrappers for a couple days.

I would feel she will be ok intent my daughter and that i was make No Bake Cookies and left a can of cocoa the baking sort and my dog bought into it and that i used to be just as concerned as you're and referred to as the vet and he or she stated to just keep an eye fixed on her and she must be pleasant but if she begins to exhibit any indicators of lathargic to take her in asap and she was once just first-rate so i would just maintain a watch on your dog and take her to the vet if she looks like she simply wishes to just lay around i hope this helps and simply maintain a watch to your dog and take a look at to keep the chocolate up faraway from her any further motive its quite now not excellent for them in any respect and can also be poisonous to them

He'll be fine. That tiny amount of chocolate won't do anything more than give him a tummy ache. He may vomit once or twice or have some diarrhea tomorrow, but nothing more serious than that. If you're lucky, he won't have any symptoms at all. Dogs are tough. Trust your instincts though. If he starts acting weak or dizzy, call the vet.

That shouldnt be enough to cause a problem, but just to be on the safe side, call the vet.
Check to see if the hot chocolate is even made with real chocolate, sometimes it's artificial flavorings.

That shouldn't be any harm to the dog. I have heard of stranger things such as a cat eating popcorn. Now if the dog got a hold of some cleaner or some chemical or chicken bones, I might be alarmed.

I would say he will be fine, hot chocolate is very diluted and it would have to be excessive amounts, he may start to be sick or has diarrhea if it gets worse than that then take him immediately to the vets..
I'm pretty sure its 1oz of chocolate(as in abar of choc) to 1lb body weight that can be toxic so i'm pretty sure your dog didnt have anything near that amount.

Your dog is fine...It's only bakers chocolate that is harmful. For normal chocolate to be harmful, your dog would have to eat a LOT of it, but bakers chocolate can be harmful in small quantities.

i might think of she would have the capacity to be ok reason my daughter and that i became make No Bake Cookies and left a can of cocoa the baking type and my canines have been given into it and that i became purely as stressful as you're and referred to as the vet and he or she mentioned to easily shop an eye fixed on her and he or she ought to be nice yet whilst she starts to instruct any signs and indicators of lathargic to take her in asap and he or she became purely nice so i might purely shop an eye fixed on your canines and take her to the vet if she appears like she purely needs to easily lay around i'm hoping this helps and purely shop an eye fixed on your canines and attempt to maintain the chocolate up remote from her to any extent further reason its somewhat no longer good for them in any respect and can be poisonous to them

Is your dog sick? Chocolate can be very bad for dogs... If your dog is sick, definitely take him to the vet. I would take him to the vet anyways just to make sure!
