You said it yourself....They're little kids. Little kids like to pretend, and they try to imitate their heroes. It's real to them, at that age, but they will outgrow it. We didn't have Power Rangers when I was little, but my little brother used to think he was a Real Cowboy because he had a stick he pretended was a six gun.

The same reason kids used to watch Roy Rogers and get a Cowboy hat and say they were a cowboy. They are children and allowing their imaginations to work.
It is very healthy from the mental standpoint although if the kids should attempt to engage in some sort of pugilistic activity based on their imagined skill levels as ninja's it could prove disasterous.

The little kids are playing and acting. They have no idea what a ninja really is and what it takes to become one.

Little kids doing that isn't so much of a problem. If I were you, I'd be more worried about your 19 year old skinny male friends who think they can fight just from watching Dragonball Z.

The same reason I used to watch John Wayne kill 5 indian with one bullet and go out and replay those sort of things in the play ground with my mates. (Killing Indans sounds so wrong now doesn't it?) t's just role play. If they want to be serious get them into a Dojo before they lose interest.

BECAUSE THEY ARE KIDS AND THEY HAVE WILD IMAGINATIONS LET THEY SAY THEY ARE NINJA ITS NOT GOING TO HURT ANYONE OR THEM SELF.........I WOULD RATHER HAVE THEY WATCHING POWER RANGER THEN BE ON THE STREET AND DOING DRUGS

they are practicing role play, which is the basis for role indentity as adults. sad because one of these ninja turtle gangs of 6 yr olds whipped your @ss? you see, you were probably just the same, but was always the one who lost, based on your personality type that people saw as the loser.

It's there way of showing how grownup and powerful they are! It is a healthy practice coz it helps the child's character to develop.
