Either your DVD player is broken or your DVD discs are. DVD's come in regional codes, N.America region 1, Asia region 3, etc, some DVD players from reg 1 can't play discs from reg 3, and vice versa.

Your DVD player is probably broken or it can't read disks. My DVD player is because every time you play a DVD it turns the whole movie a shade of green.

Chances are the laser that reads the disc is dusty or maybe broken, see if you can take the cover off and whip the laser clean with one of those lense cleaners or something. Be careful.

Are the DVD's you're trying recorded on DVD-R or R/W? If in basic terms widespread leases, or offered, then actual take it decrease back. not extremely worth fixing, because it could be too costly. on occasion you elect a undeniable DVD participant which will play Divix data, etc. in case you recorded the movie your self. stable success!

There is probably dirt on the laser eye you can try to clean it with a q-tip and a little rubbing alcohol.
