What if it was 999 instead of 666. Would you feel the same about it? Would you turn him in to your local church?

First of all, receiveing the Mark is not something a child could do consciously. Second, those that DO receive the mark are no longer in fellowship with God, so taking them to what will be the empty institution of the Church will do no good, for the saints will have already been resurrected out and the mark will have seperated them from God's mercy anyway. It won't have ANYTHING to do with 999 or any other number save 666 as outlined in Revelation 13:18.

Well, if the kid was marked with 999, that would just mean I should hold him upside down to get 666. !?!
What a funny question. A child cannot make a religious decision based on facts, only an adult can. The mark of the beast is meant symbolically. What would I do if my child grew up to be of another religion than me? I would try to at least convince them to read the Bible for themselves and not base their decision on here-say.

The mark of the beast is not something that comes on someone, but is freely taken by a person. Unless the child was born of the devil himself, there is no way they could be born with the mark. I am also confident that if somone was a Christian and in fellowship with the Lord that child would not be born with the mark because God would have prevented it.

Except that 'the mark of the beast' was devalued to 616. People keep on talking about '666', I wish they'd read up on it first.

I would take into consideration that birth marks come in all shapes and sizes, and then leave it at that.......
So many other factors are going to be in play when the devil returns, that I doubt very seriously that some freckles on a baby are going to be of concern ! ! !
