I'm trying to be friends with a former love interest. I invited him to hang out, but he said he was going to sleep and then half hour later I see him out with all his friends. He fed me a lame excuse, but should I even bother with it anymore?

Maybe something came up... The whole thing with being friends is that they should be honest with you, so just tell him you saw him and Im sure he can explain it. If he cant, or if you dont believe him, then just tell him that friends should be honest, because they dont really care if you go out with your other friends. So DEF confront him about it. Im friends with all my X's, it helps alot to never be jealous of them. In fact, Im very happy for my friends when they finally go out on dates and get girlfriends. I wish they could all be as happy as me!

he obviously is uncomfortable just being friends, if you try to hang out with him in a group with both of your friends more he'll probably feel better. you need to build a whole new relationship so it'll take some time.

Men generally do not want to be friends after a break up. You should consider this relationship over.

he may be feeling uncomfortable since you liked him before. once he understands that's all done with (if it IS) then perhaps he will see you as a friend and will calm down a bit.

I THINK HE'S OVER YOU. I WOULD TAKE THE HINT AND MOVE ON. AS YOU ARE MORE FORMER TO HIM THEN WHAT HE IS TO YOU.
