That's a new one. As a biologist I've never come across the notion that meiosis is explained by the Garden of Eden.

Science is about understanding processes and mechanisms by investigation. No answer is ever complete. Every answer begs a further question. The explanation "God did it, let's stop asking questions and celebrate him" is absolute anathema to all biologists.

Sexual reproduction predates gametes. There are many species of protists that use conjugational exchange of DNA to produce genetically distinct offspring.

You're right though. It is a touch confusing. Which is why you have to do some research. If you don't understand it, how can you even think to use it as a point in your favor --- if you don't know who's favor it's really in?

Yes, evolution.

Life began much earlier than the development of the cell. Reproduction was first just carbon chains replicating themselves in a carbon rich environment. Mitosis came a lot later, when vacuoles and, later, cell walls developed.

Wow! Dude you blew me away with that one. You're putting science in a fairy tale. Meiosis can be explained through biology. BSC 2010 will explain it.

You're just kinda entertaining, ya know that? :)

It's meiosis, and yeah, evolution has that covered.
