well, if its at your job the best thing to do is make a little sign & post it in the bathroom...you know like "Its getting to be flu/cold season...please make sure you wash your hands.." or something like that. I've had to do that before. But other than that, I would say just make sure you have lysol & hand sanitizer on hand all the time so you can de-germ everything!

I don't think there IS a polite way to get someone to wash their hands, if they refuse to do so (I run into this a lot, which surprises me!). I simply say, "There's soap and a towel, right next to the sink. Please use them, since we don't want germs spread around." I get "looks" but I don't care! Why should my family get sick because guests or other family members have no sense of hygiene?!
My husband had an ongoing battle over this, with him claiming he didn't need to wash his hands if it was just "#1". I replied, "You touched the toilet seat, didn't you? Well, that sprays germs into the air & onto the sear every time you flush. Just DO it and you won't have to hear me say it every time!". He's finally come around, but even my kid "busts" him sometimes and will say, "Oh, Dad...I didn't hear the water running"! Lol. We hear a growl or mumble and he washes up. It's ridiculous.
Another thing I did was to show him pamphlets on washing hands and which germs are transferred from the dirty hands to your kitchen and food! For guests, you could bring it up as a topic of conversation BEFORE they use the loo. With kids, I just tell them that hand-washing is "the rule" in our house.
Visit the link below and you can download pamphlets. Sign up for the newsletter and send it to people you know! Eventually, they may thank you when they get fewer "stomach bugs" and colds!

purchase the guy some hand sanitizer to maintain with them each and all of the time, and/or have a gathering for each and all of the staff ( i'm guessing it extremely is at paintings?) to re-iterate that it extremely is flu season and how important it extremely is to maintain the workplace clean and the final thank you to realize this is to bathe you palms many times and much extra so once you're making waiting food or have only long gone to the restroom. That way it would not look as in case you're singling everyone individual out, and this style the guy will with a bit of luck get the message. stable success!

You must put it to them like, "Did you like the soap in there?" or "I noticed you didn't wash your hands. I am such a germophobe after getting sick a few times. Could I ask you to wash them ?" There is no easy way to request this. I have a thing about people taking their shoes off before they come in. It saves on my carpets and keeps so much dirt and germs outside. It is sometimes uncomfortable for people, but they are visiting my home that I have to live in.

I would research the numerous illnesses that can be caused by not washing your hands, and clue them in. I would guess they would rather wash up than have fecal matter end up in their mouth! YUCK!!!!

How do you get a grown adult to mind their own business without embarassing them?
Oh right, you say it straight up -- Mind your own business.

Tell everyone with clean hands to stand up then ask him not to bother.
Put party food on the counter for everyone and give him his own dish.
Wait until he pets the dog and ask him to wash his hands as you have just sprayed him for fleas (the dog not your friend, on the other hand, tell the dog not to lick his hands)
