I thought it would my boyfriend of about a year inviting me to his house on thanksgiving was wonderful and meant that he was taking our relationship seriously and thought I was special enough to have me with him and his family for the holiday and he was seeing me already as family. UNTIL he said that he did not want to come pick me up and that I should take the metro to his house because he wants to save gas money?!?!?!? Weird
Should I still go? Does he not care about me anymore? Why would he want me to do something like that on a holiday?
I feel like he does not really care about me that much any more if that could be the case why is he inviting me on an important holiday???

I think that you should just ask him how he feels. I wouldn't go where I am really not wanted.

I would not go, he is inviting you over the least he could do is pick you up!!!!!!!!!!!! If it means that much to you and you feel like he doesn't care, why don't you try him out and suggest, "I'll give you gas money"! If he still doesn't want to come and pick you up then forget about him and move on, cause it's not worth it!!!!!!!!

well i kno it seems weird i mean my ex always said things like that and it got me mad but maybe he is low on money and just dosent want to say anything...maybe u should ask him if something is wrong...but im sure he has a reason..he wouldent have asked you to go to a family dinner on a holiday if he dident care for you..just talk to him
