My boyfriend used to do that, he just met you and he doesn't know you yet. He just doesn't want to offend you, or upset you. He will stop once he gets to know you a little better! He is just a nice guy. (hard to find)

Hm. I do the same thing.. :-\ (although, I know the situation is different, seeing as I am female)
I'm not even sure why I do it.
I think it's because I am just a polite person usually. And I want people to know that I didn't mean to do something, and it's bugging me, and I hope the other person can understand.
People have confronted me about this many times, then I usually apologize for apologizing.
Let him know that he doesn't have to keep apologizing all the time, and you accept him the way he is, and you believe his actions (excluding the apologies) are totally fine.

Sounds like a major insecurity issue to me. I think maybe he really likes you and he is very afraid to do or say anything wrong. I had a boyfriend like this once. He apologized about everything, always agreed with me, and never stood up for himself. At first it was kind of sweet, but got old really quick. I would suggest that you let him know you aren't going to judge him, and that he can just be himself around you. Tell him that there is no need to apologize...but be very nice about it. Sounds like this dude is super sensitive. If he still doesn't quit with the apologies just move on.

I think it's a very insecure thing to do. I went on a date like that--it was annoying! He touched my hand as we sat down at the movies and he apologized! OMG-cut me a break! What would he be like in bed? Lack of confidence is a very poor trait in a man!

he probably had a troubled life, parents that made him feel guilty for everything, or past relationship where the girl treated him like mud and yelled at him for no reason. but either way, he dont want you to be mad at him. i really think it stems from parents, but he might just be worried you will leave him for any imperfection.

What does it matter why? Can you be around him being this way or not? That's all you have to worry about.
