It is of course casual warter, you may take your ball out and drop away from the water but no closer to the hole with no penalty.

Casual water is any water not normally present on the course, this mostly occurs after a heavy rainfall.

You also may elect to play the ball as it lies, you choice.

After a hard rain, a "puddle" on a golf course is usually referred to as "casual water" on the fairway, and "standing water" on the green. Course conditions may allow relief in the fairway, but play is usually stopped so that standing water can be removed from the greens.

It's casual water.

Doesn't even have to be a puddle. If there is water just below the surface that comes up above ground level when you put weight upon it, then this too is classed as casual water.

Well, I am not a golfer but I think puddles of water is referred to as "casual water" and I believe that if you are unfortunate enough to put your ball into one of these, you are entitled to a free drop one and a half club lengths from the original resting place of the ball on the same line. But please don't quote me on that. Best to check with your rulebook.

It's called 'casual water': the word 'casual' comes from a Latin root meaning 'to fall', so it's water that has 'fallen there'. You get a free drop from casual water.
