I had a mole ( rodent ulcer), removed last year,
it was on the side of my neck
I was very worried about how it was going to feel as well
The only thing i felt was a tiny scratch from the local anaesthetic needle .
the rest was a breeze ,
chatting to the Nurse and the Surgeon
and before i knew it it was done , small dressing 2 stitches .
10 mins max , and NO after pain .
And virtualy no scar.
i am sure your procedure, will go as well too
Good luck

I've had this done twice and it doesn't hurt.
You'll be given a local anaesthetic in the area near where the mole is. This will make the area numb and mean that you don't feel a thing. You will have to have an injection to have the anaesthetic, but it's not too bad - I always find that it helps to be chatting to someone and looking away from the needle rather than tensing up.
Then the doctor will cut the skin to remove the mole. Usually they cut an ellipsis around the mole (imagine an eye shape with the mole as the iris) and remove it. They pull the two sides of the oval together and stitch it up. The whole process will be done in about half an hour.

I have had several moles removed. You will have a local anaesthetic injected (sorry but yes I said injected - which will sting a bit for a short while but is the worst bit over and done with), then the doctor will cut out the mole, you shouldn't feel any pain but you may feel "pulling" sensations and will then stitch up the area. It's over with in a matter of minutes.
It isn't really painful, as I said earlier the worst bit is the first bit. If you remember that it is a good thing that you're having the mole removed, you should be ok. Also remember that if you're worked up, you'll feel more sensations anyway, so try and relax while you're having it done.
If you're really scared ask if you can have someone in with you talking to you while it is happening, where I live, the doctor doesn't mind this and it does help with more nervous patients. Good luck with it.

Don't worry, the very most you may feel is the local anaesthetic needle which is very small and sharp and its all over in a moment. The actual removal of the mole cannot be felt at all then you're stitched up and by the time the anaesthetic has worn off there's nothing to hurt. Stitch removal about a week later just tickles a bit.

Try not to get too worried about it. I had a mole removed last year and it was a lot easier and less painful than I expected it to be. You will feel a bit of pain with the needle but that's the worst part and it's over in a second. After that you can't feel anything. Hope this helps! You can always take someone with you to hold your hand, it might make you feel better.

Take someone with you, tell the Doc just to do it and not tell you anything, look at your mate and have a good natter/laugh. DON'T LOOK or even think about it, and you will hardly notice anything.
The worse thing about needles is the person holding it!! Be nice to them!
You can always take a herbal claming remedy like Rescue remedy before hand if you feel you need it. And look after the wound carefully afterwards to keep it free from infection.
I had one removed a couple of years ago, it wasn't bad, even though I had an instant dislike to the doctor.

I had a few removed and you will survive if I did. I'm very needlephobic. One was a birthmark from my leg which was sizable. That took a few shots of novicane and a little bit of time plus stitches. The others were smaller and much faster. They were the size of a pencil eraser. They just gave one shot of novicane and then I heard a snip (but didn't feel any pain, just pressure ), got a band-aid on it and was all done. I hate needles too so I had my friend there for moral support. It all turned out ok in the end.

I had one removed from the centre of my back. Wasn't actually too painful. Can be a little sore whilst healing, I suppose it matters where it is!
They inject anatetic around the mole and simply cut away. your stitched up and have to return 10 days later to have the stitches removed!

I had one frozen off a few years ago. They anaesthetised it first using local anaesthetic.
The whole thing was uncomfortable, but no worse than that. Not nearly as bad as the dentist! It was over in a few minutes and I was glad to see the back of it.
You can take in your mp3 player to keep your mind off it if that helps. Good luck - I'm sure the waiting is the worst part.
