My daughter suffers from them on a regular basis since the age of 14, she is now 42. Just last week, she was in pain and knew what it was. She went to the hospital for an catscan and found several stones, one very large one.She has passed many before over time and suffered while in the process, but this was something this time too severe to see if it would pass. So, she was put to sleep and they went in and blasted the stones out but is now wearing a stint to ensure all drainage and any left can move freely down her urinary track. This stint is also painful and today, almost 1 week later, she is having it removed much to her delight. She will also receive a new catscan to ensure that none are left. Normally, the stones are small and pass. There is no cure to prevent their formation, it is genetic in nature. You must drink a lot and then some more to keep the kidneys working to see if you can get the stone to pass in a shorter time.

Kidney stones are basically a chemical formation and should normally be ejected or released through urine. It is there in practically everyone's body. Only i.In rare cases they get retained in the system requiring medical attention to remove it. These days, it can easily be removed by laser treatment. In any case, one need not be afraid of dying because of this.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.
They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!
This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.
It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.

I have had two children and two bouts with kidney stones and I swear I would rather be in labor than have another kidney stone.

My brother had them when he was 3, yes 3 the youngest in Texas to ever have them!! He would pass out because of pain and they didn't diagnose him with them until 9 days later then he had surgery. Awful, hope you don't get them again.

Yes my husband has had them several times. He has been known to vomit with blood in it during an episode. Two times he had to go to the ER and stay the night to be given Morphine.
