I resulted in a reinstallation of Windows....
Now I didn't even consider to install it!

Well, the same thing happened to me. I downloaded IE7 and my mnu bar was there and I didn't see copy or paste or nothing like that. What I did was simply right-click the space underneath the url bar, and it shows you what you want on it. You click menu bar and it should show up. There is the button to your favorites and everything else.

favorites are found by clicking the star at the top left area of the screen. Not sure about the copy/pasting. Try highlighting with your mouse and the right click. Copy/paste should be in the menu.

RR is right,click the gold star. It takes a while to get the hang of IE-7, but it is much better than 6
