How would a pilgrim teenage girl wear shoulder length hair?

Question

I am standing in tomorrow for a cousin who has got sick in a little Pilgrim play. I have shoulder length hair. How would a typical Pilgrim older teenage girl wear her hair for this length?

I would say kinda messy looking and hanging on your shoulder's because if you think about it , back in the day when they sailed the mayflower , Scrunchies , hair tie's , comb's and mirrors were NOT invented .. If you wanted to play a good role , ware your hair as if none of this stuff was invented yet .

Probaly all one length, all around. Then curled underneath at the ends, kind of like a retro look i guess. I don't know any Pilgrims, so really, i'm just guessing.

Covering the hair was mandatory, for it presented modesty; but if you must have uncovered hair, it should be put up with hair pins ( combs and hair pins did exist in the 1600s)Oh, by the way- there was no such thing as teenagers in the 17th century ( once girls hit puberty, they were considered women).

You could straighten it and have it pulled back in a loose ponytail that lays on your neck, then top it off with a pilgrim hat should do the trick.

attempt putting it up in a free, and form of severe pony tail. Use shampoo and conditioner that make it better comfortable, silky and sleek and really of having it instantly decrease back attempt having some layers out of the horse. which will be quick, basic to do and also will seem authentic reliable! wish i helped (:
